MSF is looking for a: SOCIAL WORKER Pool Daily worker in Misrata Main Purpose Carrying out all activities involving social support to individual patients/survivors and linking them with other relevant support services and communities at large, according to MSF principles and guidelines. Enhancing the target population’s social condition to have an impact on health-related outcomes. Main Accountabilities · Assist the Supervisor on the day to day management of the MSF facility, ensuring intercultural mediation services, safety and the well-being of the patients according to MSF values, standards, principles and guidelines, in related logistics and administrative tasks and acting as a link between the caretakers and the Supervisor. · Understanding and respecting MSF rules and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are known and followed by patients. · In cooperation with the Protection, Mental Health and Medical team, implementing the case plan for each patient. · Support the planning and the implementation of all activities involving psycho-social support to the patients. · Participating in different meetings and supporting the provision of comprehensive care to patients. · Conducting assessments, identifying the social support needs of patients/survivors, including legal, protection, shelter/housing, financial/vocational, food security, and access to medical and psychosocial support services beyond the project intervention scope. · Providing direct social support based on social assessments and facilitating referrals to evaluated external re-sources. · Provide systematic follow-ups care, maintaining records, statistics, files, and reports on all social work activities and developing plans following the objectives of MSF. · Participating in the creation and maintenance of any material needed for the activities of social workers. Requirements EducationDesirable degree in Social Work (BSW) ExperienceMinimum two years in a similar social job; experience with MSF or other NGOs, desirable. Experience with Non-Libyans / multicultural population / refugees is highly recommended. LanguagesEssential Arabic, English, other languages, including French, will be a plus.
