Key Responsibilities: Welding Operations: Execute electric welding processes (SMAW, MIG, TIG) with precision and accuracy. Set up and adjust welding machines, including programming for specific tasks. Perform gas welding and cutting using oxy-acetylene techniques. Fabrication and Assembly: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components based on design specifications. Inspect welded surfaces and structures for accuracy, defects, and compliance. Equipment Management: Maintain and operate welding equipment, tools, and safety gear. Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of welding machines. Quality Assurance and Safety: Verify that all welding work adheres to industry codes, standards, and safety regulations. Conduct quality checks to ensure weld integrity and structural soundness. Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Welder with expertise in SMAW, MIG, and TIG welding. Proficiency in gas welding and cutting techniques (oxy-acetylene). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications. Strong attention to detail and precision in welding work. Skilled in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools. Knowledge of welding codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding tasks. Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Welding Certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred. Technical training in welding or metal fabrication is an advantage.
