Welcome clients to the barber shopn• Listen to client's requests and suggest hairstyles according to current male hairstyles trendsn• Identify hair problems and suggest what treatment is the best for itn• Put protective cloths around customers' shouldersn• Use tools as scissors, clippers, razors, combs, hairdryern• Wash, cut, trim, curl, color, or straighten and style hair with clippers, combs, scissors, and other equipmentn• Dry the hair with a hairdryer and make a final stylingn• Apply lather and shave beards, and neck and temple hair contours, using razorsn• Apply hot towels on the face to open poresn• Shape and trim beards and mustaches with scissorsn• Give client mirror to check coloru002 Fcutn• Provide skincare and nail treatmentsn• Apply solutions to hair for therapeutic or styling purposesn• Apply cleansing or conditioning agents to client hair, scalp, or skinn• Possible provision of face, neck, and scalp massagesn• Provide medical or cosmetic advice for clientsn• Educate clients and promote other salon servicesn• Emphasize professional hair and beard products benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products for their hair care needsn• Consult clients and advise them of home hair and beard care needsn•Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferencesn• Maintains service quality by following standards of the barbershopnSome additional responsibilities of a barber include:n• Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instrumentsn• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the barbershopn• Schedule clients or cancel appointments at the clients' requestn• Receive payment from customers for servicesn• Record notes of work done, products used and fees charged after each visitn• Perform administrative duties such as hiring and supervising personneln• Maintain the safety of clients by applying standards of the barbershop and legal regulationsn• Anticipate inventories required for the next periodnProactively develop new clients
