As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for customers by crafting and serving high-quality beverages. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the coffee shop, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure the consistency and quality of each beverage, paying attention to details such as brewing time, temperature, and presentation. Customer Service: Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take customer orders, provide product recommendations, and answer any inquiries regarding the menu. Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and a problem-solving attitude. Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and using point-of-sale (POS) systems. Maintain a tidy and organized cash register area, including handling cash, issuing receipts, and providing change. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Keep the coffee shop and workstations clean and well-maintained. Regularly clean coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance. Monitor and replenish stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and kitchen staff to coordinate orders and maintain a positive work environment. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about coffee trends, brewing techniques, and new products. Educate customers about the different coffee blends, brewing methods, and flavor profiles. Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations. Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and familiarity with various coffee beans. Attention to detail and a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience. Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
