Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Muscat. This is a critical role that will directly contribute to the success and safety of our projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, particularly within critical crane lifting operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans. 2. Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site audits. 3. Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. 4. Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures. 5. Train employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and safe work practices. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation. 7. Develop and implement safe lifting plans for crane operations. 8. Oversee crane inspections and maintenance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. 9. Conduct pre-lift and post-lift inspections for crane operations. 10. Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on safety matters. 11. Promote a strong safety culture within the company and contribute to continuous improvement of HSE performance. Qualifications: Degree in Health, Safety, and Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. NEBOSH IGC certification is essential. Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a HSE Advisor in the construction industry. Demonstrated experience as a Lifting Supervisor is highly advantageous. Demonstrated experience in crane operations and lifting activities. In-depth knowledge of LOLER 1998 and MD 286/2008. Strong understanding of hydraulic machines for inspection. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. First Aid certification is highly desirable.
