Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and washing vegetables, fruits, and other food items. Help in the preparation of basic dishes and ensure they are ready for cooking. Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs accurately. Cooking Support: Support the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff during cooking and plating processes. Learn and apply cooking techniques as directed by senior kitchen personnel. Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the established standards. Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in daily cleaning tasks and deep cleaning as required. Inventory Management: Assist in the receipt and storage of deliveries, ensuring proper handling and storage of all food items. Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Chef de Partie. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment. Learning and Development: Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Seek feedback from senior chefs to improve performance and culinary knowledge. Requirements: Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
