The Junior Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting department with various financial tasks. This entry-level position involves assisting in financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and generating reports to contribute to the accuracy and organization of financial data. Key Responsibilities: Financial Transactions: Record and categorize financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses. Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and promptly. Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts, and ledgers to ensure accuracy. Reporting: Generate financial reports, summaries, and statements under the guidance of senior accountants. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Expense Tracking: Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they are correctly allocated and recorded. Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents. Assist in Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits. Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior accountants and colleagues to achieve departmental goals. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry.
