We are an esteemed restaurant group in Dubai, known for our commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As part of our culinary team, we are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, lead a team, and contribute to the success of our renowned establishments. Job Description: As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food preparation, quality, and presentation. You will be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff, managing inventory, and assisting in menu development. Your culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for culinary excellence. Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost management Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to quality and hygiene standards Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support Maintain kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies Monitor and control food waste and kitchen expenses Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new dishes and refine existing recipes Ensure efficient workflow and coordination between kitchen stations Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen Handle any kitchen emergencies or issues that may arise Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Qualifications and Requirements: Culinary degree or equivalent qualification Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and plating techniques Excellent leadership and team management abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong organizational and multitasking skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
